PI Tool: How It Works
Updated over a month ago

DealMachine's Private Investigator Tool enables you to dive deeper to uncover the owner's contact information and identify any additional contacts linked to the property.

With the latest update, the PI Tool has been enhanced to run automatically for any property without an identified Likely Owner, especially for properties owned by corporate entities and trusts.

For properties without an associated Likely Owner, the PI Tool runs in the background, scoring contacts based on various criteria—such as name and address—to identify a property's potential owner. The contact with the highest score will be linked to the property as the Likely Owner. If two or more contacts receive the same score, they will be added as associated contacts and identified as Potential Owners.

If you find that the incorrect contact is linked to the property, you may open the contact card and unlink that contact from the property. After that, you may use the PI Tool to manually look for the possible owner and link it to the property.
