Having issues with sound or audio during calls?

Updated over 4 months ago

There are a few common issues that can cause problems with sound or audio on your device. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve them.

Check Your Audio Source

Expand the dialer window by clicking the arrow down button below the dialer window.

Click Settings⚙️ on the lower left corner and ensure that your preferred input (microphone) and output (sound) devices are selected.

Check The Volume

If the problem persists, try to check the volume settings on your computer. Make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. If you are using external speakers or headphones, check their volume as well.

Check Your Browser Permissions

If you are using Google Chrome, ensure that you have permissions turned on for the website to access your sound and microphone. For more details, visit Google Chrome Help.

Check Your Devices

If you are using external speakers or headphones, make sure they are properly connected to your computer. If you are using bluetooth devices, make sure they are paired correctly. Loose or faulty connections can cause sound or audio issues.

Restart Your Device

If you are using external speakers or headphones, either wired or via bluetooth, try turning it off and back on again. This can help reset any settings that may be causing problems.

Update Your Drivers

If your sound or audio issues persist, it may be due to outdated or corrupted drivers. Drivers are software that allow your device to communicate with its hardware components. Check your computer's manufacturer website for any available driver updates and install them.
