How to Create Tasks

Tasks serve as a useful tool to prompt either yourself or a team member to undertake important actions or responsibilities. It is easy to create and assign tasks in DealMachine.

Go to the Task Navigator by clicking the clipboard icon at the top right menu.

Click "+ New".

Type in the task description. This is the title of the task that you want to assign to yourself or your teammate.

Click Assign To and select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the task.

Next, type in the details of the task in the Task Details box.

Click Due Date and select a date in the calendar when you would like the task to be completed.

When you are ready to assign the task, click Create Task.

The person will then receive a mobile notification that a task has been assigned to them. They should also see a number in their Task Navigator indicating the number of tasks that they need to complete. It will look like this:


Can I associate a task with a lead in my account?

Absolutely! Just go to Leads, open the lead that you want to create a task for, and follow the steps below.

  1. In the lead card, click Activity.


  2. Click + Add.


  3. Click Add Task.

  4. Type in the title of the task in the Task Description box.

  5. Select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the task.

  6. Type in the details of the task in the Task Details box.

  7. Click Due Date and select a date from the calendar.

  8. Click Create Task.

The task will be listed in the Activity section, like this:

The tasks that you create within a lead will also appear in the Task Navigator. It will show which property address the task is associated with.

You can then perform the task and click Mark As Complete. 😊
