What are Custom Lead Fields?

If you're on the Pro or Teams Plan, you get to use Custom Lead Fields. This awesome feature lets you add extra details about a property directly on the lead card.

Custom Lead Fields can be single-line text, multi-line text, multiple options, number, or date picker.

How can I create Custom Lead Fields?

  1. Click on your picture at the top right corner to access Accounts and Settings. If you don't have a picture yet, you should see your initials instead.



  2. Click Application Settings.



  3. Click Custom Lead Fields.


  4. Click "+ New Group".


  5. Name your custom field group and click Create Group.

  6. Click the custom field group that you just created to open it. Click "+ New Field".


  7. Enter the name of the field and select its field type. Then, click Create New Field.

That's it! You will now see the custom field when you go to the Leads tab and open a lead. If you don't try refreshing your page. 😉

Can I delete a Custom Field?

Yes, you may delete by clicking the custom field to open it and clicking Delete Field. Then, click "Really Delete?" to confirm.

Can I delete the whole Custom Field group?

You will have the option to delete the custom field group after you have deleted the individual custom fields inside it.

How can I input data into the Custom Lead Fields?

There are 2 ways on how you can input data into custom fields:

  1. Manually typing data.

    Go to Leads and open a lead from your list.

    Scroll down until you find the custom field.

    Click on the field and type in the data that you want. Make sure that it qualifies the field type (single-line text, multi-line text, multiple options, number, or date picker) that you selected for the custom field.

  2. Importing.

    Importing is the easiest way to populate data into your custom fields. When importing a file into DealMachine, the system will ask you to map data from your file to DealMachine.
