How do I know if a number is on the Do Not Call list in DealMachine?
How do I know if a number is on the Do Not Call list in DealMachine?
Updated over 2 months ago

DealMachine provides a wealth of information. If you are on the latest DealMachine plan, you will automatically get the property owner's information including phone numbers and email addresses once you add a property.

The phone number will be tagged with "Do Not Call" if it is in the Do Not Call List.

If you are still on an old DealMachine plan, you will not see a DNC tag. However, we do tag phone numbers with "Known Litigator" if the owner of the phone number is known to sue about the DNC list. It will show up like this:

Aside from that, we provide more information about the phone numbers! 😊

  • Is the number likely to be connected or not (disconnected can be helpful for researching further)?

  • Is it a landline or mobile?

  • What is the caller ID of the phone number (if CID matches the property owner's name, that's likely the best number to call)?

"Scrub DNC" setting is accessible in the Leads tab

We've made it easier to filter out phone numbers that are on the "Do Not Call" list. Now, you can quickly check which phone numbers you're calling.

Dialer Misuse Detection System: We've implemented a system to detect potential misuse of the DealMachine Dialer, including TCPA violations, fraud, scams, harassment, or hate speech. Our goal isn't just to catch bad actors but to help users, especially those new to cold calling, comply with the rules. This will ensure that teams are properly following TCPA guidelines while making calls.

Note: Generally the Do Not Call list only applies to selling goods. As a real estate investor, If you're calling to see if they want an offer on their house as an investor, you may not need to follow the general Do Not Call list. And if someone requests that you stop calling them, even if you're not selling, you should maintain your own list of Do Not Call requests. Check with your attorney for more info.
