How Do I Invite a Team Member and Manage Their Permissions in DealMachine?

When managing team members in DealMachine, understanding the process of inviting team members and setting their permissions is crucial. This guide will walk you through the steps to invite a team member, the requirements for accepting the invitation, and how to manage permissions effectively.

After a team member signs up through your invite link, they are prompted to verify their email address by entering the verification code that we sent to their email.

Importance of Credential Setup Team members are required to accept the invitation and set up their credentials before any permissions can be edited. Until this step is completed, default permissions are applied.

Once their email address is verified, they will be logged into DealMachine for the first time.

By default, your team members will have limited permissions but will still have access to certain key areas of DealMachine such as the Map, Leads and their local account settings. Default Permissions and How to Modify Them By default, sensitive permissions (e.g., editing team information or accessing billing) are disabled to ensure security. After the invitation process is complete, admins can modify these settings to align with each user's role within the team. This step ensures that members only access the features they need for their responsibilities.

That's it!

To manage permissions:

  1. Go to the Team Settings section.

  2. Select the team member whose permissions you want to edit.

  3. Assign the required roles and permissions. Examples include:

    • Access to the dashboard

    • Usage of features like the AI Vision Builder or AI Voiceimals

    • Sending mail or managing marketing features. Permissions such as editing team information and billing access are turned off by default and must be explicitly enabled by the admin.
