Is DealMachine free to use or is there cost?

DealMachine is free to explore — no credit card required. There's no time-limited free trial; you pick a paid plan whenever you're ready to reveal contacts, export, and go full speed.

Use this to understand what's free in DealMachine, what a free account can and can't do, and when you need a paid plan.

Explore free — no credit card required

You can sign up at dealmachine.com and start exploring DealMachine without entering a credit card. Browse properties, owner profiles, and search the platform to see how it works before you commit to anything.

Is there a free trial?

DealMachine no longer offers a time-limited free trial. Instead of a countdown, you can explore for free for as long as you like — no credit card, no expiration — and pick a plan when you're ready.

What can I do with a free account?

A free account lets you explore DealMachine and run real searches. You can search properties and people, browse the platform, and see how every feature works before you commit to anything. Exploring never uses data credits — you will never be charged for browsing or searching. Paid features stay visible in the menu so you can see what's included, but they stay locked until you choose a plan.

Why are my search results blurred or locked?

This is expected on a free account — it's not an error. When you run a property search, you'll see the matching property addresses, but every other column — owner names, contact details, and property information — is blurred and locked until you upgrade. In a people search, results show each person's first name and last initial only, with all other details locked. No data credits are used when this happens. To see full results, choose a plan at dealmachine.com/pricing.

Which features require a paid plan?

On a free account, these features are visible in the menu but show a "Requires a Plan" notice and open an upgrade window instead of loading:

  • Lists

  • Driving for Dollars

  • Mail (Direct Mail)

  • CSV import

  • Activity

  • Export

Map view and Split view are also visible but locked — opening either shows the upgrade window. Quick Search opens the upgrade window instead of the search box, including when you use the keyboard shortcut. Sorting your search results is also available only on paid plans.

If you click any of these and see an upgrade window, that's expected on a free account. Choosing a plan unlocks them immediately.

When do I need a paid plan?

A paid plan unlocks the full toolkit: monthly data credits for revealing contact info (phones and emails) and exporting records, plus the Driving for Dollars and Mail apps at full capacity. Plans start at $99/user/month (Basic), with Pro at $149/user/month (adds premium filters and priority support) and Scale for bulk data teams. Annual billing saves 17%. See current details on the pricing page.
